General Description of Position:
The Email and Digital Marketing Director will be the primary administrator of Salesforce Marketing Cloud to apply best practices and provide direction on how to best use the platform. You will work with multiple teams to develop marketing campaigns using all the tools available in Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to achieve targeted communications to prospective, current, and returning students. You will design customer journeys and campaigns, and provide reporting related to those campaigns. You will track and build prospect lists for email and print communications, and digital advertising campaigns. You will execute the digital ad strategies to supplement email and print marketing. You will report to the Executive Director for Marketing and Communications.
Be the specialist for the campus-wide Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
Create and design email campaigns to support enrollment through interest and application generation
Work with the enrollment team to give feedback on best practices for complementing the marketing journeys with maintenance and transactional communications.
Establish best practices for SFMC operations.
Provide reporting related to all activity within SFMC.
Produce campaign reporting and updates for distribution to management and other teams.
Use SFMC to automate or otherwise improve marketing campaigns.
Track and evaluate all audience touchpoints in the CRM
Resolve potential issues.
Take a data-driven and customer-first approach to marketing campaigns.
Assist with other marketing activities including website, print mailing, and social media to complement email marketing strategy

3+ years' experience in email marketing and working in a CRM (preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
Higher education experience preferred
3+ years of SFMC experience.
Intermediate experience of SQL, HTML, CSS, and AMPscript.
Have experience setting up advanced journeys in SFMC Journey Builder with demonstrated experience with splits, data extensions, APIs, and other advanced Journey Builder features.
Have experience creating emails from scratch in Content Builder with dynamic content blocks and optimized to work across email platforms, especially Outlook.
Experience setting up and managing preference centers, subscriptions, and SFMC pages.
Experience working with data imports, feeds, and APIs from data sources, experience with Sitecore connectors.
Experience with social media best practices and understanding of various platform algorithms
