General Description

We are looking for a Area Management Specialist for our San Francisco properties. This property management position will provide leadership and expertise to multiple properties. The ideal property manager for this role will have great communication skills and can work independently. You will travel to multiple properties in Illinois in order to be the on-site subject matter expert on efficient property management operations. Understand One-Site, HUD/tax credit compliance and occupancy requirements for Affordable Multifamily Housing. You will lead the site team on Fair Housing and Tenant Compliance practices, rent collection, occupancy levels, direct and prioritize property maintenance needs and provide amazing customer service to residents.

PAY:$28.03-32.00/hour DOE

Daily duties:

  • Lead, coach, mentor onsite staff
  • Provide customer service and resolve concerns
  • Direct the rent collection, occupancy guidelines and maintenance requests
  • You may need to work outside normal business hours to respond to property needs (over night travel)
  • Accomodations and Travel expenses are company paid.

This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule. COVID-19 Vaccination required.

*High school diploma or equivalent.

*Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws, including Fair Housing and Landlord and Tenant laws.

*Experience being accountable for financials.


*Professional certification in property or affordable housing management.

*Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, accounting, customer service, and/or supervisory experience.

*Previous housing or property management experience including HUD, Low Income Tax Credits, Rural Housing, and Tax-Exempt Bond properties.


*Comprehend and communicate in the English language both orally and in writing.

*Interpret and understand financial information generated from property management software reports.

*Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

*Define and solve problems.
