Based out of Denver and reporting to both the VP of Finance for Strategic Business Initiatives and the VP/General Manager of Integrated Kidney Care (IKC), the Director of Finance will oversee the financial strategy, planning and analysis for DaVita's fastest growing strategic initiative by helping DaVita to move deeper into value-based care.

DaVita's Integrated Kidney Care segment has reached a new phase in its growth trajectory and is embarking on a new era of unprecedented expansion. Our mission is to be the partner of choice as we pivot into being a leader in the value-based care segment of the healthcare industry. As IKC continues to grow we aspire to become the national leader of value-based care, and thus we are looking for an entrepreneurial, operationally focused and results-driven Director of Finance to join our team.

The Director of Finance role will be an integral part of the IKC leadership team and have broad exposure to IKC operations and strategy. A successful candidate will partner with the business operators to ensure accountability, develop KPI's and own the budget/planning process.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the financial reporting and analysis of IKC
  • Provides budget oversight, trend analysis, variance analysis and guidance to support IKC, including the development of the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and longer-term financial plans
  • Recommends, develops, implements, and ensures compliance with financial practices and policies; analyzes and leads process improvements
  • Evaluate the P&L and related Operating reports to create "actionable insights" for IKC leadership team to improve operating results, and ensure diligent follow-up
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to drive business improvement
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for cost-saving and profit maximization
  • Prepare presentations for executive management
  • Involved in setting the vision and strategy of the IKC finance team reporting into this role
  • Attract, retain and develop a talented group of financial leaders to support the financial operations of IKC
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to develop creative solutions to complex issues which improve performance


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 year's related finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related area required
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Team player with a great attitude who has fun at work
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Demonstrated success in effectively communicating and presenting information to executives
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; experience with Hyperion Essbase and Anaplan preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and growing business
  • Strong qualitative, quantitative and problem solving skills
  • Must have keen attention to detail
  • Willing to take the initiative, be creative and "think outside the box"
  • Experience and success working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Professional presence and excellent presentation skills
  • Approachable and open

Salary/ Wage Range
$100,100.00 to $147,000.00

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
