Sales Support Specialist (Remote - USA)

Forge Nano Inc, Denver, CO, USA is a fast-growing, spirited, and well-funded materials company with a focus on manufacturing nano-scale coatings across a wide range of markets and is seeking a Sales Support Specialist.

Role Description

The Business Development Group, responsible for maintaining and growing sales is seeking a talented Sales Support Specialist. This position covers a broad range of responsibilities including issuing quotes, ensuring timely follow-up with customers to close sales, providing ongoing customer support, and preparing for upcoming customer discussions. Expertise in powder materials markets and/or lithium battery materials is preferred.

The ideal candidate for this role is a self-driven, meticulous, and well-organized individual who will support the sales team in various sales efforts. In this role, you will help the sales team achieve their ambitious goals by serving as a point of contact for a variety of customers, handling queries about products, performing outreach, gathering market data, processing orders, and communicating with customers on deliveries. You take initiative, are goal-oriented, and have a natural inclination to provide customers with exceptional service. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow customer accounts by creating a regular communication cadence, pre-and post-sales, to develop repeat orders
  • Qualify and convert exiting leads to sales, process orders via email, and contribute to sales team quarterly goals
  • Identify new customers, perform initial outreach, set up sales calls
  • Check and remedy data gaps and errors in sales documentation by contacting clients for missing information
  • Maintain and update sales and customer records in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Edit sales presentations and materials for consistency and accuracy
  • Liaise with sales and operations teams to prioritize active projects, communicate schedules back to customers, and help ensure on time deliveries
  • Perform basic market/customer research for target markets
  • Communicate important feedback from customers internally

Required Education and Experience
  • Proven technical sales experience as a Sales Administrator, Account Manager, Sales Support Agent, or similar (approx. 2-5 years), ideally in an equipment, materials, or chemistry-related field
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software (Salesforce) and MS Office Suite (including PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams). QuickBooks experience a plus.
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, and goal oriented with a strong success mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and taking initiative to drive growth
  • Past use of a commercial sales process; lead qualification, quote issuance, CRM customer management (Salesforce preferred), closing sales
  • Demonstrated closing of technical sales

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Undergraduate level degree is a plus (B.Sc. in a STEM field is preferred)
  • Certification in marketing, sales, or relevant field is a plus
  • French, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean language is a plus
  • Experience in powder materials processing and/or lithium-ion battery materials
  • Knowledge of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) or similar advanced thin films and industrial coatings (such as PVD, CVD, or semiconductor processing)
  • Past work experience in the mining industry and/or graphite processing

Work Environment

Majority of work is remote. Forge Nano is headquartered in Thornton, CO, USA with flex office space available for this position in the case of site-visits or customer tours.

Physical Demands
  • The ability to move and position objects weighing up to ~25 lb. for tradeshow booth setup/teardown
  • The ability to work in an office, sitting or in a stationary position for 8+ hours a day
  • The ability to travel by car, airplane, and train occasionally

Travel

10-20%. Travel to trade shows will be required. Travel to customer sights to provide pre-sales development and post-sales support may be required. Majority of travel will be within the North America.

Compensation
  • $50k - $60k depending on experience
  • Possible commission on sales depending on experience
