FINANCE MANAGER - PROJECT INITIATIVES

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Project Finance Manager will report to the Technology Operations and Functions Finance Lead overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, reporting and tracking of technology project costs and benefits. The Project Finance Manager will liaise with Divisional Finance Managers, Technology and Enterprise Project Management Office.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for capex and opex costs for technology initiatives and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with strategy, divisional finance managers and project managers to ensure financial costs and benefits are accounted for in each area. Track and report technology initiatives financial costs and benefits (OKRs/KPIs). Drive project profitability and other performance metrics. Conduct cost variance analysis and schedule against baseline.
  • Partner with technology and accounting to develop and enhance tracking and tagging mechanisms.
  • Act as key point of contact during project intake meetings to establish pipeline of projects and assess the financial impact. Offer direct financial communication with project team, internal financing department.
  • Act as key point of contact with business partners to fill out technology business cases
  • Ensure project accounting is compliant with accounting standards


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*
  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related fields
  • 3+ years experience budgeting and forecasting for technology and operations areas within financial services And
  • 3+ years of tracking and reporting technology project costs in financial services

Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, analytical, and project management skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships both within the Finance Division and throughout the Bank; work cooperatively with members of the Executive Committee and the Strategy and Planning Committee.
  • Must be capable of establishing professional expertise through integrity, dedication, and strategic counsel.
  • Must be capable of inspiring confidence and respect in staff and motivate colleagues to achieve Finance Division and company goals.
  • Must be able to manage and influence a large number of indirect reports without having authority.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote) required.
  • Requires strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques and generally accepted accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience in the use of financial/accounting related reporting systems (e.g. CONTROL, Hyperion, Cognos, etc.) and the preparation and presentation of managerial reporting.

Compensation

Starting base salary: $108,305 - $140,688 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
