Description

Group Sales Coordinator

Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort is a 385-acre family recreation destination located on Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, TN, just past the airport off I-40 (Exit 221B). It is comprised of a first-class water park, Treetop Adventure Park (ropes courses and zip lines), RV campground, lakeview cabins, a 310-slip marina, boat and Jet-Ski rental business and other attractions.

Primary Responsibility:

This position is responsible for assisting full time sales representatives, executing group events within the park, answering phone calls, taking small group orders, and performing office tasks as assigned by GSM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound phone sales; answering questions about the group sales rates and overall property information
  • Processing, organizing and compiling all group ticket orders for shipment or delivery
  • Designs monthly consignment ticket newsletter to be sent to GS clients
  • Assist Inside Sales Representative with ticket orders, credit card processing, ticket details, etc.
  • Assist Guest Relations staff with ticket "pick-ups" and answer Group Sales-related questions on busy days
  • Assist with large catered outing, birthday parties, and special events within the park
  • Assist Sales Representatives with other assigned office tasks
  • Handle office mailings
  • All other duties as assigned by Group Sales Manager


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Positive upbeat attitude towards selling
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be extremely organized and detail- oriented
  • Must demonstrate outgoing personality and professional appearance
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows with main attention to Word and Excel
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be willing to work outside on the weekends and when group events are taking place
  • Ability to lift and carry 20 to 25 pounds
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned
  • Candidates pursuing Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or Sales degrees preferred but not mandatory
Skills and Abilities:
  • Problem Solving- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information efficiently; and develop alternative solutions when needed.
  • Mathematic Ability- Utilize basic arithmetic (Add, Subtract, Divide, and Multiply)
  • Technical Skills- Properly handle a cash register and its functions after training.
  • Communication- Greet each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; complete all supporting documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly.
  • Planning/ Organizing- Keep assigned work area clean and organized at all times; file appropriate documentation and be able to furnish information on request; fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manor.
  • Quality Control- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and be able to monitor own work for quality assurance.
  • Dependability- Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time; consistently on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
