Configuration Management (CM) Specialist

KBR is seeking a highly motivated Configuration Management (CM) Specialist with focus in Software with Supply Chain and Asset Management to support the Space and Missile Systems Center's Enterprise Ground Services Program (EGS). EGS is an agile program that delivers Tactical SatOps C2 capabilities through a federated suite of services. The successful candidate understands Configuration Management and Software with Supply and Asset Chain Management requirements for developmental and operational systems through all stages.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage software at each site, including on site software validation when required
  • Track SW throughout the end-to-end supply chain, from origination point to destination point, using manual and automated processes and tools
  • Utilize database administrator skills for application of software management database tools
  • Manage site specific processes for software installation and removal
  • Review software lists with understanding of FAR, DFAR, USSF supply / acquisition and procurement regulations, security regulations, etc.
  • Assist customers in establishing and administering CM plans and procedures which align with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) V2.0 and COBIT Working Knowledge
  • Assist in documenting and implementing software version control processes, policies, and procedures
  • Assist in the use of configuration management tools (e.g. Device 42, Insight, ServiceNow) to store, track, and manage configuration items
  • Support, design, initiate, and lead audits (internal, external, 3rd party) to verify regulatory / quality requirements have been met
  • Participate in agile scrum processes and ceremonies

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Technical and analytic capabilities in Configuration Management focused Software with Supply Chain and Asset Management
  • Bachelor's degree in science, math, or technical field
  • 3-5 years of experience with ground systems acquisition and / or sustainment
  • Understanding of configuration management best practices, FAR, DFAR, USSF supply / acquisition and procurement regulations, security regulations
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter who can lead and partner with multiple teammates

Desired Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience with ground systems acquisition and / or sustainment
  • Specific knowledge of SMC space and ground systems and processes
  • Familiarity with execution of a CM Program as per DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines
  • CMMI Supplier Management, CMMI Cyber and CMMI Safety certification / training
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training or certification
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certification in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information System Security Auditor (CISSA)
  • Experience with ITAM methodology to adhere to software compliance, including any of the certificate disciplines (CSAM, CAMP, CHAMP, CITAM, ETC..)
  • Experience in CMDB database installation, configuration, and administration

Basic Compensation:


The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:
