Position Summary

TheChildren's Campus HR Tech will review and verify incoming and outgoingdocumentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with establishedpolicies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations. This willinclude hiring documents and tasks, personnel files, regulatory training andrequirements, and support with all human resource functions including use ofUNM systems such as banner, payroll systems, and personnel actions. Thisindividual will also support and assists in the resolution of policy-related,process-related, or procedural problems and/or inquiries received fromdepartment representatives, employees, applicants, and external agencies, asappropriate to the nature of the role.

Performsspecialized technical tasks as required by New Mexico Early Childhood Educationand Care Department for childcare center, such as pre-posting dialogues, firstlevel screening/interviewing of applicants, preparation of vacancyannouncements, surveys and statistical analyses, and/or participation ininformational presentations, as appropriate to UNMCC objectives. Preparesdocuments and composes correspondence, as required, on specific policy andprocedural issues. The HR Tech will also coordinate and monitor the continuousrecruitment process for specified client constituencies. This individual willbe expected to participates in the planning and coordination of specified HRprograms and initiatives for faculty and staff, and present at special outreachactivities such as fairs, employee, and parent orientations.

Conditions of Employment
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ECECD childcare licensing regulations
  • Experience with NAEYC accreditation criteria and requirements for accredited centers
  • Experience managing personnel files
  • Experience creating and managing databases
  • Experience with hiring, on-boarding, and personnel processes
  • Experience with Banner
  • Experience with UNMJobs
  • Experience with Payroll Processes

Additional Requirements
This position requires an ECECD background check including fingerprinting. A negative COVID test is required prior to the start date.
